Encyclopedia Bimblesnaff: Poppy

A fungal capped fellow who pops his top.

They are a slow and docile race. They tend to hide rather than fight, cowering beneath their protective cover at signs of danger. When landed upon, this cap blows off to get the offender as far away as possible. One particular Poppy fights alongside Bla, and, while nearly worthless in every regard, he does wield Power Orbs with deadly potency.

History:

Poppy was created as a gimmick enemy. Originally just a ball with a plate on its head, it just crawled around in a near harmless fashion. If it was jumped upon, it would boost the player upward, allowing access to much secrets. It was particularly vulnerable to the Flame Drop attack. When later revamping the Bla series, Poppy was added as another player potential, largely since Blip was already an enemy and foe. It also allowed the nich of "Which choice has high defense?" to be filled without making a new character.
