Encyclopedia Bimblesnaff: Super Gnat

A radioactive gnat with super powers.

When a piece of cantaloupe was exposed to radioactive waste, its taste was not the only aspect changed. Its juice also granted super powers to a gnat that moronically ate the glowing fruit. It altered him to be able to fly even faster and produce a green bubble of energy around him that protected him from harm, such as fly swatters.

History:

Super Gnat had a very uneventful youth. He was created and unused, as was common among my creations, but then received a very unexpected cameo. He appeared in one of the later Rubber Man issues towards the end of the series' run to pad out time. This gave him actual credance to be moved into the domain of Not Quite Heroes where he could continue not being used.
