Encyclopedia Bimblesnaff: Tangelo Terror

A corrupt citrus scarred by his own science.

Entry: Tangelo Terror
Series: Not Quite Heroes
Origin: Super Strawberry
Generation: 1st
Created: c. 1988

Dr. Terrance Tangelo was a colleague of Dr. Otto Orange when they were developing the basis for the technology that would create the Power Band and Cape. However, a freak accident occurred when a pH meter was not properly calibrated, and the explosion left everyone believing Terrance had perished. Having survived the blast due to prototype enhancement testing performed on himself, he remained hidden in the bowels of the laboratory carrying out his experiments.

As his former friend, who he blamed for his condition since it was his turn to calibrate the meter, rose in celebrity for his inventions, Terrance fell deeper into insanity, no thanks to the insanity pills he formulated on the side. With his own version of the Power Enabled technology, he sets out to destroy his enemy and his protege. On frequent occations, he impersonates the good doctor to besmirch his name, but the deception is apparent once "Ooo!" is not heard from him in a three minute span.

History:

Tangelo Terror is the true heir to the dynasty created by Dr. Orange, effectively making him the same character, or a split path from. The original Dr. Orange was the evil villain of Super Strawberry, not his friend. This black rinded, skinless faced, mad scientist version of the doctor faded quickly over time as he transistioned to a good guy. The bad guy was resurrected in its entirity but only as a mock-orange citrus. Hey, there's enough of those to go around.
