Defying or Fitting to Conformity?

I think teenagers are morons. Plain and simple. I deny the fact that I am one. They do the stupidest things for the stupidest reasons. My all time favorite is when they try to rebel. "Dude, look at this wicked-sweet tattoo I got. Ain't it wicked-sweet? I also got my ear pierced." "... But you're a guy." "Yeah, man. So?" "Well, it makes you look gay is all." They don't even know what their rebelling. They say they fight the system, fight conformity. They say they are different. Well, I say to them: Look around. Try to find one of your peers who hasn't done the exact same thing you have. Guess what? YOU CAN'T! That's 'cuz everyone does it. Everyone wants to be 'rebelling,' but they all do the same things to rebel. As a result, they've just switched one conformity for another. You want to rebel? I say to not get that tattoo or earring! Don't stay out partying! Truly be different! But will they? Of course not. They are a part of the conformity. They can't change. They don't have a free will of their own. They just do what everyone else does. And when that changes, so will they.
