Lunar Labyrinth - Objects

Objects are scattered across the maze. The build the wicked domain and make it more difficult for Squish to progress easily through. There are two main types of these: Blocks and Obstacles.

Blocks fill each of the chambers. Every room has a different build, make, and color combination. It's unlikely to find two rooms that look alike. These Blocks all react differently to the player, foes, and shots.

Obstacles are additional impedences that can be found on the floor. They'll probably just get in the way, but Squish can also use them to his advantage while dealing with the enemy.

Block

Solid Block is the basic brick that construct the sublunar maze. They are heavy, large, and flat. They stop shots and movement. Pods can travel flat against them.

Block

Bounce Block is coated in a rubber barrier that is highly elastic. If anything comes into contact, it ricochets off at a greater speed. In a narrow passage, it can juggle a Pod from one end to the other without a problem.

Block

Spike Block is covered in sharp fangs. They won't hurt Squish if he runs into them, probably, but anyone touching the pricks is thrown back some. This completely kills any gathered momentum, so travel with caution by these hazards.

Block

Ghost Block vanish from sight right before your highly developed eyes and just as mysteriously reappear. It makes it difficult to navigate a room when you can't tell where the path is clear at. Any contact, touch or shooting, forces them back into visibility.

Block

Diamond Block is cut in a diamond shape. This cuts their corners off and makes them more navigatable than fuller types. However, a wall of them is tricking to pass by, and a hall lined with the jagged peaks can prove troublesome to smoothly move through.

Block

Gel Block is not solid, and anything can pass through it, although at a slower speed. The player, enemies, and their shots are dragged down while traveling the goo but are not outright stopped from passing.

Block

Empty Block is a square cut right out of the floor. This gaping pit cannot be crossed by any Pod but the space can be transversed by a fired shot. Also, if any Push Block are available, these holes can be filled and crossed like normal.

Block

Push Block is a mobile structure that can be guided along with your shots. It cannot be moved by any Pod just by pressing against it and by all respects behaves like a regular Solid Block. However, any type of shot knocks it from its steadfast holding and can slide it along the floor to another location.

Obstacle

Charge Station is a dull panel found in various spots along the floor. It has no effect when left alone. However, if exposed to the energy of a shot, it absorbs and outputs a similar effect of its own. Try different shots and see what can happen.

Obstacle

Barrier is a glowing wall of energy. They appear over small structures found on the floor. The wall prevents passage, but a quick shot will momentarily drop the wall. Be careful, however, as the instrument can absorb Nega Energy and turn into a hazard!

Obstacle

Gateway lock away a powerful Gate Guardian and must be broken in order to face the beast within. Each gate is characterized to a specific energy signature, so the proper skill is needed to enter each one.

Obstacle

Warp Panel link together chambers in the dungeon. When exposed beneath a Gateway, it will send the player to face that Gate Guardian. From there on, that particular device will lead back to the Central Hub. Additionally, that panel will appear in the hub from then on to get the player back out to that corner of the maze.

Obstacle

Central Hub is the grand coordinating machine to Squish's journey. It is where he starts the adventure off and where he returns to after being defeated. By walking onto it, he can change his chosen skills to others acquired. He can also save his progress, load a previous game, and switch to another character.
