Squish Pod- Shots & Specials

There is a wide variety of techniques and attacks that Squish knows to battle or outwit foes. Here is the collection of the lot of them. They are broken into two primary parts: Basics which can be used at any time during the game and Super Specials which are acquired through a Special Pick-Up, only one of which can be known at a time.

Basics

Shot

Shot

Fired with use of the left mouse button, the standard shot is great for getting by. It can stun foes, light up Charge Stations, move Push Blocks, and intercept enemy shots. It cannot, however, inflict damage to the enemy. For that, a Special Shot is needed.

Shot

Guided Missile

A good, dependable Special shot to rely upon, it's an over all standard weapon in Squish's arsenal. This blast follows after the cursor wherever it is aimed and keeps following until its time expires or it hits a target (intentional or otherwise). Skillful weaving can allow it to take out multiple foes with one shot. It boasts a commendable amount of power with one of the fastest recharge times. Plan to use it often.

Shot

Ricochet

A powerful and unruly weapon, this differs greatly from the previous shot. It is fired straight at the aimer and then is on its own. It bounces off of walls, obstacles, and enemies alike, gaining speed and growing in power. It stays around for a long while but has an amazingly high recharge time, the highest of any standard Special.

Shot

Chain Bullet

A barrage of shots that individually are weak but can be combined to cause serious damage. A blitz of ten pellets are streamed to the target for a short range. If its move while firing, the shots spread out. Quick work can cover all angles with one shot. For weaker foes, one shot can take them out, and a single use can be used to plow through a hallway filled with the pests. It can also be honed to one spot and makes bosses fears.

Shot

Force Shield

This Special does not cause damage. Rather, it offers protection. While encompassed in the bubble, one enemy can be repulsed by the barrier, saving a single point of health. As novel as that idea is, there is another feature it claims: protection from enemy shots. The shield eats up Nega-Shots and actually converts them into usable energy.

Shot

Turbo Boost

Another nonlethal power, this one doubles the obtainable speed. Its great when in a pinch and a hasty retreat is needed. For a long level with a clear path, a quick zip through will save time and really up the time bonus earned. It has the shortest recharge rate of any Special.

Super Specials

Shot

Leech Blast

The most dangerous Special that can be learned, it can actually wound or even killed Squish. The reason for this is that it is made of Nega Energy. This shot takes one life bar to use. It isn't strong, doesn't go far, and can only be aimed in four directions. What makes it worth the risk? If it kills its target, two life is recovered, being one more than was started with. Its recharge rate is amazingly long, and the risk may not be worth it in many instances. However, any life possible is precise in the Dungeon.

Shot

Lob Bomb

While most Special are restricted to the ground, this one takes to the air. This grenade is hurtled overhead, capable of passing walls, obstacles, and even enemies to reach its destination. When it strikes the ground, it explodes and scatters many points of energy that swirl through the area. If it happens to land upon a wall or other such surface, however, it bounces off and lands at a later point.

Shot

Orbital Ring

A combination of attack and defense, this surrounds Squish in eight floating balls. These balls can take one impact each, either from a foe or an enemy shot. They can either be kept around for safety or rammed into the enemy before they deteriorate. They do not react with walls, but other obstacles may take them away.

Shot

Plasma Rain

The most unpredictable Super Special that can be used, it has no course of aim or direction. When activated, a series of energy arrows fall from the sky and pepper the area immediately surrounding Squish. They could take out all of the enemies or not manage to injure a single one. Because of this unreliability, the recharge of this Super is not as long as the others.

Shot

Shock Lash

A complicated tool to aim but a devastating weapon to possess, this energy whip is first thrown at wherever it is targeted. After that, there is little means to control it. It stretches out so far from Squish before snapping back. It bounces off walls and does not move Push Blocks. Learn its ways and become a formidable Squish Pod.

Shot

Umber Crawl

Most Specials have some long lasting affect that stays around for a while after use. This one, however, lasts but the blink of an eye. It explodes out of Squish's shadow in every direction, vanishing once it hits a wall. Any foe with a clear path between itself and you get a dose of the dark power. Activate it in the center of a room to maximize the potential.
